    Firstly, it is important to understand what might have happened and how your body and mind are responding. 


    The issue may have been the direct result of an injury or it may be a symptom of things that have happened over time, habitual posture, eg. constantly sat hunched over a computer, or past trauma to the body (eg. car accidents or operations), or life incidents, like grief, shock, fear, that have created habitual tension which may ultimately, result in injury or pain.

  • How I can help

    A detailed consultation and physical and postural assessment helps to understand where you are right now and how you would like things to be

    different. We will plan a course of treatment that will take account of may include a combination of massage, stretching, exercises and Kinesio-taping ,

    as necessary, to help you get back to full fitness and moving freely and staying free from pain.


    What is also key to getting lasting results is for you to understand how your pain system works and become aware of the habits, behavioural patterns

    and limiting beliefs that can limit your recovery. It is important to realise the absolute connection between your emotional and physical wellbeing.

    Your journey through your injury and pain is not a journey you are meant to walk alone. You will need support and I will be with you the whole way – to

    answer questions, to give you feedback, to treat specific problems, to remind you of your goals and celebrate your wins, and give you the tools

    and resources to make this work for you in the long run. Following the treatment phase, we can look at a maintenance plan that will keep you flexible and strong so that you avoid injury in the future. If necessary, this may involve referral to additional specialist to address specific issues or help build and maintain your fitness.

    The only thing I can’t do for you is make you keep showing up – that’s the

    most important step of all!! This process is for you if you’re prepared to

    Chronic pain (ie pain lasting for more than 3 months) can result from a medical condition. But there can also be no obvious cause, no actual tissue damage. You might have been made to feel your pain isn’t ‘real’, you just have to live with it, or that ‘it’s all in your head’!


    Chronic pain is often a holistic experience – it affects you physically, mentally and emotionally. And it is important to remember you don’t have to

    go through it on your own. You should always first seek medical advice from your doctor. Once any medical reason has been ruled out, then it is useful to consider other approaches which may include some form of bodywork and therapies that look at the link between body and mind.

    First of all, it is important to understand how your pain system works and how is affected by your thoughts, emotions and feelings.


    A detailed consultation and assessment helps to understand where you are right now and how you would like things to be different. We will plan a

    programme of treatment that may include a combination of massage, stretching, exercises, Reiki and, importantly, body-mind coaching to help you not only manage the symptoms, but eventually recover from the root causes of your pain. If necessary, this may involve referral to additional specialist help with the conscious and subconscious mind.

    You may have low mood, no energy, ‘brain fog’, lack concentration, feel irritable, weepy. Panic attacks, muscle tension, headaches, stomach cramps are all physical signs of internal stress. You may need help also to understand what might have triggered such feelings and what else you may be feeling in your body.. In mild cases, you may simply need time and space to bring your feelings to the surface and let them go. Where your

    stress and anxiety are significantly impacting your life we may need a more intensive programme of support to get you to where you would like to be.

    It is also important to understand how your anxiety and stress is affecting you and the impact it is having on you - physically, mentally, emotionally

    and spiritually.


    A detailed consultation and assessment helps to understand where you are right now and how you would like things to be different. We will plan a

    programme of Body-Mind Coaching and mindfulness practices that will give you tool and strategies to not only manage the symptoms, but eventually recover from the root causes of your pain, plus massage to address and release tension in the body and Reiki to rebalance your energies.

Somewhere where you can say it like it is and hear that. Somewhere where you won’t feel judged, but reassured and cared for with compassion, empathy and trust.

    Your journey through transformational change will not be easy. There will be lots of tears and laughter along the way. But it not a journey you are meant

    to walk alone.
